Hey there, I just got Best of Cluck and I am so excited to use it! BUT I wanted some feedback on exactly which stamps I should cut the words away from the image and if there is any I should keep "as is" ????? Any suggestions? TIA
Did you use an exacto knife to cut the sentiments off? I had wanted to separate the image and the words, but most of them looked too close. In fact, I just went down and relooked at the stamps to see if I missed something. Hmmm. I guess I might have to alter my stamps now!
So I ended up mounting these for the most part with the words still attached because the sentiments didn't fit on the side of the block... kwim? I use markers if I want to stamp them separately. I did mount the chicks separate from the "thanks a bunch" and also the "peep" separate from the chick in the egg.
Yes, I used the SU craft knife (hobby knife? whatever it's called) and it worked GREAT. I mounted the sentiment opposite the image. So on one side of the wood is the image sticker and the sentiment's rubber. On the other side is the image rubber and the sentiment sticker. Only one didn't fit this way and I cut the sentiment in half and put half on each side. And the "peep" rubber went on the side.
It is by far the most discombobulated stamp set I have ever seen. However my intermediate/advanced stamps at a workshop last night thought it was great. I just love that we can do it however we want. I'm pretty anal, but after I was done mounting it I felt like it wasn't a big deal to 'mess with it' after all it's just a stamp set.
