What do I do with them? Here's the dilemma: I have 300+ cards in various stages of completion. Some just need a sentiment inside, some are just card fronts, some have been stored too long and need to be re-layered with fresh foam tape because the layers are sagging in between the tape, etc. I don't want to do all of that - or ANY of that - but it seems really wasteful to just throw them away. I'm open to any/all suggestions... Thanks!
What about donating them to a group that does cardmaking with either children or seniors - since they are already in some stage of completion, it might be appreciated as a "come and finish what was started" idea.
Or you could try to sell them as a lot "as is"
I know you said you don't want to do any of the work to finish them, but is that because it is so daunting to look at them all and think about how much work it is? If so, maybe you could break up the task and perhaps set a goal of fixing/finishing one a day, setting a time limit (say 10 minutes) to do so - if it can't be done in that time limit, then it gets thrown into the donate/discard pile. That way, you are only looking at them for a very short period of time each day. You might find that some are just so quick to finish you will feel satisfaction at the end for having seen it through.

I don't put sentiments inside my cards, so I would consider all of those finished and good candidates for donation as is-- probably to a nursing home. Or OWH, but you can't send cards with glitter and if your space is anything like mine, glitter's everywhere, even on cards I didn't put it on. ;)
As far as the card fronts, if you wanted to expedite them to finished status, I would invest in a set of prescored bases this time around. Saves you from cutting and scoring, and you ought to be able to get a large quantity (50ish) for under $10.
Do you ever sell anything on here or on Ebay? If I ever have "extras", I will put them in with things I sell on Ebay or here with a print out of that poem...what the heck is it...I did not sign this card as I sent it off to you...I can't think of the whole thing right now. I try to always put something in with things like that --not always but I do try.

Thanks everyone! In answer to the question of why I don't want to finish them: I have about eleventy billion things going on right now (kitchen remodel, new grandbaby coming, craft room overhaul (again!), new job soon) and I'm in PURGE MODE, BIG-TIME!!! I just plain and simple want them out of my space as soon as possible, ya know? I'll check the threads and "gatherers" you've mentioned and see what comes of it... Thanks again!

You go Sue! When you are on a roll you have to find the easiest and fastest way to purge it or you re-think the whole idea
I need to do that too. My life has changed drastically since my husband passed away unexpectedly last year and I have very little time to finish cards that I had started :(
Sue, my friend Arlene collects cards for From Our Hearts and she has another spot that takes any that happen to have glitter.
You know where to find me.
That's me!
Please consider sending non-glitter/non-heavy or non-thick embellishment cards/cardfronts to: From Our Hearts
From Our Hearts
PO Box 105243
Jefferson City, MO 65110
Get a large flat rate box and stuff as many in there as you can. They have groups of people who will finish them and send them on to the troops to send home to their families.
For glittered cards consider giving to school teachers, Ronald McDonald House or nursing home activities directors.
Great suggestions, everyone! I got a little sidetracked with new grandbaby stuff (the shower was today) and kitchen remodel issues (damaged stove, wrong cabinet, etc.), so I haven't followed through yet. Hopefully this week! Thanks, all!
