I was thinking about getting a couple of the monogram stamps but not sure what letters to buy. For people that own some did you buy letters for names or letters you just thought you might use for a lot of different things? The initials for my family are A,B,G,J & R.

I'm buying all of them!
Seriously though, what I would suggest is making a list a-z and listing all the words you can think of that start with that letter that you could easily do a scrapbook page with. If you're considering just getting the initials of family members, this is a great way to see if it will be "worth it" to get them. If there are a lot of words that you can see using them for, it's easier to justify the money. And don't forget, in April you can get every 3rd one for 50% off!
I haven't gotten any yet but wanted the "J" -- however, I heard that it is unlike the other letters and very narrow, so I didn't get it. However, I think B for birthday and baby is a must have. T for thanks, and I think I want M for Merry (as in Christmas), and Mother.
Plus, L for love!!!

So far I have F, S, and W -- fall, spring, summer, and winter. Of course, there are tons of other words to go along with these 3 letters. Now I'm trying to figure out which ones to order in April.
I bought our initials - D, J, M - and B (for Boy) and the "&" sign. I'm trying to decide if I want more. I was toying with O and Y so that I could spell out the word "BOY". Other than those, I'm not sure I need others. T for Thanks is good.

that is a great idea to make a list of words you might want to use them for on a card or page. I don't suppose there is thread anywhere that has done this is there? You know like the EFP list.
