I wasnt sure where to post this, but I know this forum gets a lot of traffic so I may get lucky here. I made a tealight easel card. Directions are on Tami White's youtube channel. She has two different versions, I made the older version since I'm still waiting on my wreath dies from Stampin Up. Anyway, The card folds to regular A2, but I'd like to include the battery operated tealight with each one. I have the envelope punch board and the box board. I would like to create an envelope that is about an inch thick so I can put the tealight in with the card. Does anyone know where I could find directions to make an A2 envelope that is deep? Does this make sense? LOL

Thanks, I'll check it out. I was hoping to do it with 12x12 and I thought I did one a long time ago....but can't remember.
I'm not sure you can. To get a box that is 1" thick but big enough for an A2 card, that means that the paper has to go more than 13": 5.5 for the length of the card, 1" for the height, plus another 5.5 under the card, plus another 1" for the height on the other side, plus a little bit of overlap for the seam.

But if you use the envelope punch board I think the measurements are different. I'm not sure how to explain what I mean....
I'm going to try that and see how it works. The picture is very deceiving and I was so unsure of where to out each measurement. I'll let you know how it works out
I guess I'm just not smart enough to get this! I've tried twice with your measurements anda third time with a different set and I can't figure it out. My brain hurts from trying LOL!
try pinterest. I have seen lots of posts using the punch board, some are wider envelopes to hold lots of cards. Might hold a tealight, search under envelope punch board :-)
Kathy, this is not too hard. I posted a tutorial on SCS a while ago on any sized envelope. To add thickness, just follow the directions BUT add an inch on either side (or a bit more). In other words, follow the directions for a flat envelope, then score one inch more on each side. If you need more help, send me PM. Can do for sure. I hate measuring and this works.
Thank you all for the suggestions. I will try Nancy's suggestions when I get home. Running up to the PO to mail a package. Nancy are tiu saying I take the measurements on the board, add two of inches (in this case it would be for an A2 card and the measurement is 8 1/8 square so I would make it 10 1/8 square?)
I'm a bit confused on how a tea light will fit in an envelope that is an inch thick. All the tea lights I've ever seen have the flame/light stand up making it at least 2" tall. Also how will you keep the flame from poking through the envelope or breaking?
I'm asking because I'd like a way to mail these type of cards also.

goofy me wasn't thinking about the flame. I don't plan to mail mine, I just want something to put them in. I think to make things simple, I will just put them in regular envelopes and after the recipient opens them, I will hand them the tealight! I will have to explain how to make it stand anyway because some people can't figure it out. The tealight is just under 1 1/2" inches tall.

I don't use the envelope maker but that may work too. I simply score around the card in the center of a piece of cardstock then score again an inch away. Trim if necessary. I don't measure anything except to make sure the paper will go around it. My cards are almost always an odd size.
On the envelope maker you only use the measurement the first time then you line up with score line i think. I'll be watching to see if anyone figures this out, would like to know how too.

That's true for regular envelopes but for box envelopes it is different.
