Default Matboard Journals or Stamped Candle?

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to start thinking of ideas for wedding favors. I saw the contest category, but it seems a lot of the posts were more baby driven than bride. But, I was wondering what everyone thought would be a better gift..... matboard journals or a stamped candle?

Your help would be much appreciated!

I would go with a matboard journal - more use out of it - they would not be afraid to actually use it...either as some sort of journal or to use as a small scrapbook - maybe for pictures they get from people who attend the wedding. I made a whole separate little scrapbook of pictures that people sent me after my wedding - those contain the best pictures because they are so spontantious and not so much posed like the photographers pictures are.

With a candle I know I would be to afraid to use it because it would be too pretty...but then again I horde candles - my hubby gets excited about the ones I do let him light...

I have to say for a favor at the wedding I would say candles. They take no time to create at all and look good! You could stamp the names and date or just some couple and it would be impressive

For whom are these favors intended? If they're for your attendants, then I think the journals add a real personal touch. But if they're for *everyone*, then I'd go for candles.

Make Candles! My upline's upline's daughter (make sense) is getting married and she's doing votive candles(nice ones at Dollar General for 50 cents) with a stamp she had made at Office Max with their name and wedding date on it. Anyways they're coming out very pretty!

Thanks for your help, Ladies.....

Edith brought up a good point.... I guess I could make candles for EVERYONE and then maybe make the journals for my attendants.

I really appreciate the input!

Oh wow this site is awesome!
I found out yesterday that one of the girls in my former ladies Bible study is getting married and I thought maybe throwing a small shower just from us (the ladies group) and I was going to post what a good favor would be!
I am thinking about doing a lingerie party and after reading this I think I will stick to that and do some candles!
Oh and I am loving JanTinks Bride card done with Crazy Daisy.
Thanks Joyof Stamping for asking the question for me
