Default MatBoard Journals

I just found the gallery for matboard journals and was amazed. They are all so cool! Now I have to make some.

Trouble being, I am totally clueless. How are these made? Is there somewhere I can get the directions. If I'm thinking right, the covers are cardboard? Is that what matboard is, or something different? What are the demensions, know each one can be whatever you want, but looking for basic size ones here.

How many pages generally?
How on earth do you punch holes for eyelets and set eyelets if it's thick cardboard?

Can you tell I'm new, being totally clueless as I am?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just LOVE these and want to start making bunches to demo, stamp camp, gift giving for holidays....... and on and on.

Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

Theresa

One tip... when trying to drill through all the cardboard and paper, use binder clips to keep everything together. Otherwise it will be hard to get everything lined up.
