Default Lost stamp! What do I do?

I have a dilemma! The other day I got some stamp sets out to cut and mount, and my 18-month old was playing with them. I swear she didn't go anywhere but the living room, but somehow one of my stamps is gone!!! I've looked everywhere, and am considering even going through the garbage to see if she put it in there (it's sitting on the curb right now, taunting me!!).

Anyway, the stamp is the CELEBRATE TODAY from Simple Sayings, and just the rubber piece is missing, not the wood block. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas for what to do????!!!! HELP!

Hi did you try calling SU! - I believe they will sell you the one stamp that you lost without having to buy an entire set again.

Call SU! they will usually replace something like this for cost of shipping ($3.95). You should probably contact your demo & have her call SU!

I think they can only replace current sets. I keep meaning to call, since my little furbaby ate half of one of my "Little Hellos" stamps - was unmounted too. Still have the empty block.

Default lost stamp

Look everywhere! When my son was 3, he got hold of my wedding and engagement rings. I looked everywhere, or so I thought. I even took steps in case the little stinker swallowed them. :-( One morning, I was pouring cereal and the little twirp had dropped them into the cereal storer. I was so happy to have found them and I could stop thinking about where they could have been!

SU might replace the lost stamp; have your demo call for you. SU will not replace retired stamps. Believe me, I've tried and tried to get a retired set and was told they can't get me one. I'm sure they don't keep retired stamps in stock in any way.

Good luck!

SU does not replace the stamp. I thought I lost one from the Watercolor Garden set while cutting mine out. I went through the gabage, to no avail, then dumped out the garbage and found it with my other cut rubber. Whew!!! I was panicking. Dumpster Dive!!!
Good Luck

I'd definitely be watching those diapers for a while!! But do try every nook and cranny that she had access to. Did her outfit have pockets? I once found a refrigerator magnet in my 2 years pant pocket. Good luck! Hope you find it!!

Call your demo and explain your situation to her. She will need to call DS to have a replacement sent to you. SU! WILL REPLACE the stamp for a fee of $3.95 - however if they sense a trend...they will question it. Shouldn't be a problem though! I just had them replace Happy Easter from AYC1 for a friend (she lost it) and the small full circle from Simple Shapes for me (dog chewed it up). Just had to pay 3.95 for each of these since they were from different orders, but no problem. Stamps arrived within 2-3 weeks too!

HTH you!

If you do end up going through your trash - check out the rubber that you cut. I've ended up cutting my sets and gotten to the last one only to be minus the image. I always end up finding it mixed in with my cut rubber . . .either that or between the couch cushions from where my kids climbed up saying "Mommy, what you doin?"

But if all else fails, call SU! - they'll make good on it as the other ladies have said

They seem to be getting pickier about this - I asked for one the other day that I truly lost and were so hesitant - as though I was going to buy Everyday Flexible Phrases one stamp at a time for $3.95.
I had 56 little tiny pieces of rubber and lost one.

I was sitting at my table and I had cut out almost 7 sets and realized I was missing a stamp (the telephone from Ocassionally), I kept looking around. I honestly looked around the top of the trash since there were alot of scraps from those sets I had already cut out. I was ready to go crazy, apparantly it fell on the floor and my cat decided to play hockey with it and bat it around. So I found it underneath my kitchen table, you could barely see it. Ahh our stamp woes

Did you check all your drawers and cabinets? My son opens my kitchen cabinets and puts magnets in them!

After reading this post today I ask my demonstrator to call CS to see if I could buy just the butterfly image from 103298 Simply Spring. I had accidentally cut a chunk out of it when I was mounting it. I was hoping that I could get a replacement but she was told that I would have to purchase the entire set, that they couldn't replace just the one stamp. All I wanted was the rubber image. Should she be speaking to someone other than CS?

This has happened to me recently as well...trying to replace a 'dot' from the bug builders set. The reply was that it was no longer cost effective. ..??

I'm quite sure my daughter didn't eat it, otherwise she would probably still be chewing on it, or we would be in the ER! It is the completely uncut piece of rubber which is 1 1/4" by 4 1/4" - I was not trimming this set yet when she got ahold of it. I kind of picked through the top of the garbage, but it is too late now to go through the whole thing.

I talked to my demo and she said SU would not replace it either. After having three kids, my mindset is that it will probably turn up sooner or later. If not, I'm sure I will learn to live without it...

BUMMED!!
