I got a stamp set that I ordered, and it came with the packaging labeled love Nicole, as the company. I saw the exact same stamp by Jillibean from Hampton Arts. Did they buy this design from Jillibean, or is this another company ripping off a legit one, and putting it in official looking packaging to pass?
According to the forum on A Cherry on Top, Nicole Crafts is the former owner of AC Moore, stores that went out of business several years ago. They have now purchased American Crafts, which includes Bazzill, We R Makers, Bo Bunny, DCWV, Maggie Holmes, and a bunch others. So, it sounds legit, although this mega-conglomeration may mean the end of several product lines….
How you ladies know so much about what company is bought by another, amazes me! Someone should do a post on who is owned by who now, of all the companies & it should be in the newsletter for all to see, of course! ;)
somewhat related, I read that Michael's bought out Joann's and will shortly be carrying fabrics and other merchandise that was exclusive to Joann's. Our in-store Michaels has very merchandise on display, especially in the papercraft aisle. Sometimes I just need something quick - other day was dimensional foam sticky dots. NONE at Michaels!
I would love if our Michael's would carry Joann's stuff. We lost our Joann's shortly after we got a Michael's, which has so very little in the way of stamps, inks, trimmers, embossing, etc. I don't like shopping at Hobby Lobby, so was thrilled when I learned we were getting a Michael's, but now that it's here, I'm not so thrilled.

This would be very hard to do unfortunately. Too many companies moving around all the time and often with no announcement, esp if the website is not closing.
This page from Rubber stamp madness may be of help to you...companies that moved, that closed and ones still operational
I read an article about Michael’s adding Joann’s merch and the focus was yarn, fabric and sewing machines. No mention of home dec or papercrafting, the only two departments I visited at JoAnns.

I received an email from JoAnns about Michaels now carrying some of their merchandise. I think I received it because I have ordered from JoAnn's online in the past. I am wondering if the fabric, etc. is more available online? Hate buying fabric online - I like to hold and drape the fabric so I can see how it responds.

Exactly! I'm glad I have a stock of fabric, but it's also the tools, patterns, accessories, thread, etc. that Joann's carried. You absolutely need to feel, drape and see the true color of fabric at different angles. Buying online is not an option for me. We have no other actual fabric store in this town, so I guess I will have to go the 70 miles to Tucson, but I'm not sure they have one either.
