Okay, I know I am in the minority, but I don't think that the Gnomes are that bad!!!!!!
I think SU was trying to capitalize on the Travelocity/Amelie Gnome craze.
But.. they do look like Gnomes.... and the sayings aren't soo bad.....
My sister-in-law doesn't think they are so bad either. I might have to give them a second look. Although, I don't think they are a set that I will buy . . .
I don't think they are so bad either. We used to have this "gnome book" and I loved to page through it, so the set reminds me of a happy childhood memory BUT I don't think I would buy it cause I'm not real good at the whole coloring in thing. ;)
Location: back in a gated community...the twins are mobile!!!!!!!

I love gnomes!!! (For the record, I don't have any in my lawn, but I used to have a neighbor that had them--they made me smile!! ) That set is on my wish list!! I love those little guys!

That's funny, this cute little set is on my must have list, too! In fact, too much is on my must have list! I got my caddy today and now my list is over 300.00! My DH is going to kill me!!! How, oh how, am I going to cut down the must haves????

I like the gnomes. I'm sure eventually I'll be adding that set to my collection. Although it will be near the bottom of a VERY long list! ;0)

I like the Gnomes too! And funny thing is I was thinking before I ever laid eyes on the catalog that maybe I should get a cute little garden Gnome and tuck him away discreetly in my Garden. Then I see the catalog and their they are!
Okay, I know this is weird ... I haven't even seen the book, but I've read SO MUCH about the gnomes. I know I will want them. When I read that they look like "that scary clown" (Jest Between Friends, which I adore) and Rhyme Time, which I wanted to get before it retired, I e-mailed my demo yesterday and said, "That gnome set is just my style, isn't it?" And she e-mailed back, "YES, IT IS!"
I LOVE the gnomes and will admit to having quite a few in my garden--including a gnome bench and my all-time favorite Penn State Gnome. I can't wait to order them.
I sorta like the knomes. But, I'm a librarian so I like the one with the book and the book saying, and I'm tempted to get them just for the book parts.

I LOVE the gnomes!!!!!!!!!! I was upset that everyone was trashing them. Like there aren't tons more sets that should get much more attention for being not so cute or downright ugly. People didn't like the cool cat and...
BTW-I do have them in my yard and they are not ugly like the one was on the Will & Grace show. I think they are adorable LOL I can't wait to get the cute little guys.

ok so here's the bizarre twist... I'm here reading about the gnomes because I want to post about how I love them - they are so cute!! and I'm listening to live365 radio Oldies and a commercial comes on for "Travelocity" and it's the gnome talking... too funny!!!!

Got my catty yesterday & couldn't figure out what the fuss was all about! They're cute! My sister and cousin were gnome collectors so I have a positive history with the little guys. Now those Charming Children...IMO they should be renamed The Children of Deliverance. EEWWW!

Right now I am just trying to decide if I want to buy the demo kit or not. I was hoping to substitute certain things. And the dollar amount changed.
I really like them. They are cute! And they look like the ones you put in the garden. I like the sayings too.
I already traded something so I could get a direct order of the gnomes and print pattern.
You don't even want to know how big my first order will be....this catalog rocks!!!!

Just got my new catalogue last night, so had to go find this set that eveyrone is fussing about... my opinion.. they are just beyond cute!!! They are sweet, short, little fat gnomes with flowers and fruit! How could that be creepy? I love them! Think these may go on my wish list... way too cute!!!

I think that I still have that book, LOL. Is it the one with a little guy gnome on the front, with a big red hat??? DH and I have a collection of the Tom Clark gnomes so they don't scare me a bit.
