I have the flourishes by Rhonda Farrer and they always seem to stamp blurry. I've tried not pressing as hard and it doesn't seem to help. I know that it isn't my paper and ink because the other stamps I'm using don't seem to have problems....they are rubber.
It is just because they are cheap?
Here is the card that I used them on and you can see how it stamped.
Looks like your ink is beading. Are you using dye ink? You should have better luck with craft ink on clear stamps. Or, you could try rubbing your stamps gently with a white eraser to see if that helps the ink stick. Or, stamp first in Versamark and then in the dye ink and then on the paper.
I've had good luck with my RF swirls. I have the $10 ones from Target though. I'm guessing your problem is with the type of ink you're using and that clear stamps aren't always cooperative with dye ink.

I'm interested in the answers because I have had the same disappointing results. They are sooo pretty though...
Okay, a few things to try. The eraser will help. I would definitely try it with the craft ink, it will give you a smoother image. Then try different pressures on a scrap piece and see what happens. The Rhonna Farrer stamps are vinyl so they may not give you quite as good an image but you should still be able to get a better one than what you are getting.
I'll try the eraser bit first. I have Stazon too but I'll try the eraser first. I'll let you know......maybe tomorrow. Busy with the Dirty Dozen challenges today.......and sittin' in front of the 'puter!

The flourishes did stamp weird, looks like the instant they hit the paper they bled. The only Rhonda Farrer stamp set I have worked great after I gave it a good cleaning.
Good Luck

I posted a message yesterday about this same thing - but it was about the Micheal's $1.00 stamps. I thought too because they were cheaper. But I've tried the eraser and the Versamark pads before I ink them and it seems to work.
BTW, I love your card...
Hugs,

I have been buying lots of acrylic stamps and the RF are among my faves. I have problems with Stampendous but not Farrar. Are you using a pigment ink? You need a "sticky" ink to stick to the acrylic and also you do not press as hard as you can with wood mounted stamps. My favorite is Versamagic - chalk inks are fantastic with acrylic.
I have the same flourish set and the dye inks do bead up on them. Pigment inks (craft), or Stazon work the best. The other alternative would be to stamp in a versamark pad first, then pick up the color of your dye ink. Be careful though, as these stickier inks dont dry quickly like the dye inks do. Heat set, or leave it alone for a bit to dry.
