Default The Joy of Cardmaking or . . .

Which magazine would you purchase, The Joy of Cardmaking or Take 10. I have heard that they are both great but do I really need both.

Thank you

My daughter has all the past "Take 10" and they are great so I bought the new one and was dissapointed. She bought the new "Joy of cardmaking" and it was so much better that I wished I had bought it instead but did not want to spend another 15 dollars! I hope this helps!

I would say get both. I did! You won't have to purchase another mag. all year...There are so many great ideas! The Take Ten had a ton of 6 1/4x3 1/4 cards. I had never seen this card size before - with a little adjustment you can get 4 cards out of a 12x12 sheet of CS (guess what I'm doing this week!!!). You can even get envelopes to fit this size card from The Paper Zone! Who knew?! The Joy of Cardmaking also had a lot of long and narrow cards. That seems to be the new trend. But it had traditional size, square and mini card ideas too. I really think they are both well worth the money and will be great resources for years.

Happy Stamping!!!!

I got both, too. I got my Joy of Cardmaking from Michael's using the 40% off coupon, but I have no problem paying full price for the Take Ten. It's an investment, as far as I'm concerned!!

I have the Joy of Cardmaking and love it! I've been looking for Take 10 - will check it out before I buy it to be sure that I really NEED it!

The Joy of Cardmaking is fabulous! Definitely get it!!

I skimmed through the latest Take Ten and passed on it. I have the first 2 but haven't looked at them in months. Seems like lots of same old stuff over & over.

What is Take 10? I've never heard of this before. Where do you find it?

TIA

I have both and I prefer the Joy of Cardmaking.

I tend to CASE the whole card with Take Ten. But in the Joy of Cardmaking all the templates are in the back, like our sketch challenges here, so I can make my own with whatever layout I like that day and not be influenced by the colors and sets they use.

HTH

The Joy of Cardmaking definately! It has all sorts of card sketches, so even if you don't do those designs, you have layout ideas!

Default Take Ten and the Joy of Cardmaking

Thanks everyone for your help.

Tbcrops - Take 10 is a magazine that I have heard alot of people talking about, I have not seen it myself but from what the other ladies are saying I think that The Joy of Cardmaking may be a better choice.

I would say BOTH! However with the Joy of Cardmaking there are sketches that show how to do the card.

I hope this helps!
