Wow that's a hard theme for a baby shower? I'm interested in seeing what you come up with.

Ummm what about the "carrot boxes" (for the farming theme) with pastel candy inside?

Or you could come up with some sort of "Growing a New Baby" sayings for bag toppers.

Just a couple ideas.

(giggle) this reminds me of the NASCAR commerical for the bridal shower (I laugh everytime I see it). Have a great shower, I bet it will be tons of fun.

You could use that new wheel that looks like grass. Could "loads of love" truck be done in green/yellow? fill truck with baby accessories from one of the sets.

I hope this is for a boy, but us farm girls like the JD too! JD is green and yellow! Spray paint an old Umbrella bright yellow. Use it for the center piece with toy dept. JD mini tractors around on the table. Wal-Mart usually has a JD printed fabic that you could make a table runner out of?

Green plates, yellow napkins - stamp the tractor along a bright yellow paper table cloth! Do a tractor time guest sheet or book!

If you can get some of the fabric, tie green and yellow mints up in it and tie with ribbon?

Can you tell - I just love a John Deer tractor!

HTH

Sticking with the green and yellow theme, a diaper cake is fun and easy to make. You could stamp themed gifts (onesie with a tractor/stamped receiving blankets, gift cards could be placed in green/yellow envys. I have instructions in my Idea Gallery on how to make these:

http://www.stamponthis.com/SOT-IDdiapercake.htm

These cakes make great table centerpieces!

I have a friend who is having a baby in July and they are doing a John Deere nursery. I am trying to think of gifts in the theme. I wish I had Tractor Time!

go to john deere "Store" and see if they have any props. literature, pictures that you can have (or borrow or rent for the day..- Since you can tell them you would like one of every brochure but glad to return them as you are not really looking to buy a full size tractor. then use or photocopy (baby or mom and dad heads on the tractors?)

word games with scrambled farm words --baby animals , farm terms (sorghum molasses, milo, winter wheat, manure spreader LOL
or QUESTIONS (how much gas does a tractor tank hold?
how tall (in inches from the seat to the ground)
how much does it COST??
and some baby questions
cost of newborn pack of pampers
cost of wipes
cost of carters sunsuit
and Cost of one year of nearest state college!!!
or cost of one month of new born day care at wee love you kiddie kamp

you also have "overalls" to use at theme or decor. gardening implements(now out in kiddie section

dirt cake in a beach bucket (Or loaf pan in the back of a tonka (Not john deere) tractor
borrow any kind of tractor or wheeled toys from any attendees who have kids the right age

a dig in the "sand box " for somethign
use kiddie pool and rice is not too too messy
or a covered soda can flat. (find the "diaper pins" use the teeny pins sold in the craft store.. and then you have them for your embellishment stash)

there is the identify the baby food one but everybody hated that and wouldnt play when we did it (saved the food for the baby in attendance)

i think a timed thing.. two am craving
go get "mama" a blanket, a snack. fold up the blanket. help her to the bathroom. put her bac in bed /recliner/ fix blanket. find a book make a drink with two ice cubes... (needs work but this could be funny
or one just for dad if he is there
make him race all around
then say
ok
who can beat his time while he huffs and puffs and declare him the "winner"
maybe
get the hospital bag
check for camera
rezip bag
check for snacks
rezip
is there a toothbrush
zip
AND toothpaste?
oh mom has fallen back asleep
(you could keep this going the whole time with random "Alarm clocks: it is still gelling in my head . maybe somebody else can jump on it....

I believe Wal-mart has John Deere related items. I know I've seen fabric, several different styles, and I'm thinking I've seen rugs for doorways and items like towels and knick-knacks. Might find something there if you are willing to wander all the aisles!

JoAn Fabrics also has the John Deere prints. Scrapbooking stores have John Deere stickers. You might find lots of little John Deere toys on Ebay.

ooh sunflower seeds in little burlap "seed sacks" (or socks tied up with twine) way cuter and cheaper than buying all the logo items..
or have a watermelon and a watermelon spitting contest... LOL
well that watermelon used as the fruit bowl is always pretty and well received (and the mother feels as big as a watermelon
you could also use the string for the guess how big?? game and when they are all a twitter say now
MEASURE THE WATERMELON You dont think i would insult our guest of honor do you???

let us know how it turns out...

I just made a card yesterday using a Tractor stamp. Of course I made it a Farm all Tractor.
I would think you could come up with an idea for a baby using a Tractor set.
How about a Baby driving the tractor......It would have to be masked.
Or a Bunch of Baby Farm animals and the tractor.
Well here's my card.
