Default Instructions for burning candles

I stamped by first candles yesterday, and want to give one as a birthday gift to my stepmother. Is there a chance of the tissue paper burning as the candle burns down? Should a votive candle be put in the column as it burns down? What kind of instructions should I include for burning the candle (other than never letting it burn unattended...)?

Thank you for your help.

Yes, the tissue paper will burn once the wick reaches that level. You can burn the candle down far enough to fit a tealight candle in. I think the votive would be too big.

Default Burning Candles

I burned one of my candles over half way down and I didn't have any problems with the tissue catching on fire. The tissue kind of started turning brown but no flames or anything. Carol
