Default Ideas for repurposing ArtBin magnetic sheets?

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays & New Year!

I have moved all my dies to the magnetic floor vents covers in envelopes and now would like to repurpose the 25 ArtBin magnetic sheets I have left over. I have not seen any ideas online other than to use them as intended in a box instead of the ArtBin case.

Since there are so many brilliant repurposers here, any ideas? I will keep them if a case for a real use can be be made for them, but otherwise off they go.

Thank you,

Robin

I don't use the Artbin magnetic sheets but I have used the vent covers (I have found very reasonable self adhesive magnetic sheets on eBay that I have been using now. They are already cut to the size I need for my clear pouches.) Can you cut the Artbin sheets to fit your envelopes? Sometimes in order to be economical I would tape smaller magnetic sheets together (tape on the back side) to make the size I needed - works fine.

I had to look them up...yeah! I totally agree! Cut those puppies to fit your sleeves. I "frankenstein" ones all the time with scraps I am left with from vent covers. Totally works. I pop in a piece of cardboard with mine for structure. You can glue to that or back it with scotch tape (what I do).

I cut up the expensive 8 x 11 pages I had been using for another system. (way too heavy and the binders broke all the time) They are cool because they are rigid in their own right...and I just thought of something...I am going to try to hunt those back down and switch them out for my stamp/die sets as they hold cling on their backs. Cool!

Thanks for the ideas. I hadn't thought of reusing the ArtBins as they are so heavy. But cut down they just might work.

If you have nesting sets-you can get away with gluing strips of magnets on the cardboard and that way get more mileage out of them. I only use full covers when I have a bunch of different dies in the sleeve. (I store by category).

If those artbins can do both stamps and dies you might want to save them for those sets.

I still use my Art Bin sheets for nested dies sets. Otherwise I use vent cover magnets for dies that coordinate with stamps.

This is an idea for magnetic sheets in general. Using or making small card fronts, I glue them to small pieces of magnetic sheet to make refrigerator magnets. They make wonderful small gifts.

Thanks for the additional thoughts, I hadn't thought of making magnets with them. I wonder if they can be cut with steel rule dies and then covered with a paper die cut? Maybe make some mixed media type of magnets.

Thanks everybody!

If you cant run the die...and it is just an outline shape...maybe just trace around it and fussy cut? If you have the TH shears they will do it.

I am wondering if we can hot knife mag pages...hmm. Might ruin the blade? Has anyone tried that? Then she could do inner detail cuts. Def will be a smell..art bins will have more plastic...that might be toxic or should in a well ventilated area?

Default Artbin magnets

I have cut mine down to use in the plastic envelopes. Also good to have one near the die cutter to keep dies from disappearing.
