I heard about Snow Writer from a friend and she had to special order it, but had to get 3. She sent me one and I like it a lot. I used it on my recent lighthouses:
Coast To Coast by Crafty Julia at Splitcoaststampers
Chriserendipity and I were PM'ing each other about the characteristics of different ways to do snow or surf and I did a sample of several to see which I liked best. She asked me to post my results. I "wrote" on a scrap of dark blue cardstock with the following:
Liquid Applique: Mine was probably too old and not a fair sampling, but I remember that it takes a while to dry, then you have to puff it up with a heat tool. Time consuming.
Glaze gel pen: White puffs up a little, but you can still see through it to dark paper.
Krylon's Opaque Paint: It's for sure opaque and good to write on dark papers, dots make good stars or snow flakes.
Zig Writer: Not very opaque, pretty useless. Might have been too old, too.
Snow Writer: We have a winner! Makes great surf, snow on the edge of ginger bread houses or branches of trees, makes puffy snow flakes. Only thing it doesn't do is write very well. LOL
Anyone else have any thoughts?
