We have some friends and relatives coming from out-of-town for DS's Bar Mitzvah next weekend. I thought I would do a little gift basket for each room and ask the hotel to put them in the rooms (which they usually do). I'm thinking water bottles with the Crystal Light to go pouches attached, microwave popcorn, maybe some trail mix.
Here's a little poem I wrote to go with it. What do you think - too goofy?
We know it's very tiring
To travel so many miles.
Having you here to share our joy
Will bring us many smiles.
Perhaps you're tired and hungry
And wishing for a snack.
So open me up and have a nosh
While you settle and unpack.
Some water for the "thirsty"
Some trail mix for the "sweet"
Some pretzel mix for the "munchy"
We hope you enjoy this treat.
So rest and relax
And have good night.
We'll see you tomorrow
All chipper and bright!
My brother did something similar for his out of town wedding guests. He also included some coffee from a nearby cafe (something different than they would get at home). You could also do candy bars (with stamped wrappers of course).
