I'm in nugget agony! Is that possible??? I'm making nugget tins for my husband's co-workers this year and others. The good news is I'm up to 30, the bad news is I have more to go! I had also decided to do hot chocolate tins. I'm so sick of whipping up batches of the mixture! This is quickly draining my holiday spirit! Oh well tis the season!
What helps me is to work with someone else...today my grown daughter and a friend got together to stamp and assemble cute little gift packets for co-workers. A collection of cards, a notepad and a pen went into the clear cello bag and then we made toppers for the bags. A bit of raffia completed the project -- and we made 72 of them!
We talked, we laughed, we cried and we got it done in 90 minutes.
You know I'd still be sitting here with stacks of cards and pads and nowhere near finished if I'd tried to do it by myself. This was much more fun!
I think I know how you feel. We are selling nugget boxes at work & so far have sold 200+ for our fundraiser. Luckily other ladies are helping out. It has been fun to get together with them at lunch & make the boxes. But of course I'm the only one that knows how to make them, so I have to come up with the 'plan' of how to get them all done. Then I have to start on my Christmas cards which I know I will get sick of making.
Just think of how happy they will be when they receive them.
I too feel your pain! I have stamped sheets and sheets of labels and wrapped loads of nuggets. My hubby asked for a package for each of his employees. I am putting 6 decorated nuggets in a cello bag, with a 2 sided, stamped topper. Gee, I figured, while I was stamping and wrapping, I might as well make them for all my office staff... So far I have close to 50 done (that's 300 wrapped!), with several more to go (already have stamped 3 sheets of labels ready to go!)
On another note - I bought my bags of nuggets from Sams (56.5 oz) and in the first bag I opened, nearly all the buggets were the toffee ones (wishing I didn't have to wrap them as I love those the best...)
That's a lot of work! I had to do that one year for my husband's company. Over 80 LARGE tins with custom made tags. Paste embossed and stamped. I thought I was going to have to wear my arm in a sling! This year I got suckered into making my cinnamon fudge for my DH's employee's, then decorating tins for them. Upshot is, THERE'S ONLY NINE!!!! Yippeee!! But I still have to make about 8 or 9 batches of fudge, I have clients I have to fatten up too! tee hee hee

I understand--apparently I had too much "nugget" too because yesterday at the craft show, I told a lady that was looking at the tins that they had chicken nuggets in them! WHAT??? My sister looked at me really weird and that's when I realized what I said. Let me tell you about the laugh we all got from that one!!
Good luck on finishing the rest!!
