Default I made my own Twinkling H2O's

I had some notes scribbled down from somewhere on how to make my own and I played with it today (instead of packing).

I have still have some tweaking to do but I made a few samples doing the watercolor wash background and they worked.

I didn't think at first they were looking right but when they dried all the shimmer was there.

I made a scan but as usual the scans never show all the shimmer

Like I said i have a few tweaks to do...mainly the pots I used i think.

I got some watercolors...the kind that come in a tube. I got a set of 18 for 10 bucks at MIchael's but I didn't sue a coupon.

Some glycerin...(the liquid kind)

and Pearl Ex

You just mix all 3...some paint, a few drops of glycerin, and some pearl ex...mix until you like the color.

The pots I used were to too deep so they aren't drying out really well. I tried to put them in the oven to help dry them out but being impatient as I am I had the heat turned up to high and the rims starting melting a little bit.

I am going to try and find some little lip balm cases and try it in those.

I included another sample hoping the shimmer would show more but no such luck.

Try using those stackable pill boxes you can get at the drug store. I bought a set of 7 that are all different colors and that screw together to put my pearlex/gum arabic in and it just so happens that the colors of the pill boxes match the colors of my pearlex! They work great.
