Default Just got my Xyron 510, and...

I have no idea how I ever lived without it! I just used it to put Priority Mail labels on some packages. (I know, not stamping.) I cannot wait to use it for my stamp projects!!! It was SO EASY!!!!!!!

Just had to share. My 2 kids are asleep and my dh is on a conference call. Besides, they wouldnt' care, so I had to post here!

I was hoping more people would reply to this post so I could learn more about the Zyron 510. Is there a bunch of different sizes and if so is there a size that best fits the stamping/cardmaking purpose? Maybe this question will get a response

I am excited that you are enjoying yours, mine is sitting here in my stamp room collecting dust. I have only used it a couple of times and I have 2 other cartridges that came with it! I have to find time to use it more even if it isn't for stamping purposes!

With the 510 you can do several sizes from ittby bitty flowers on up to 4 x 6 pictures or paper. I got the 510 because it seemed the most versitle and cost effective but there are ones out there that will do an entire page.

So far so good. I am liking mine, especially for those items that are hard to stick! Some times when I do a technique it warps the paper a little too much but the image is great so by having full adhesive coverage I can get the cardstock to lay flat.

Hope me users will post. This is the one I have been looking at. I have the small X for ribbon, etc., but want a bigger one for layers. This is sounding like the one.

I love these machines. I have used a laminating cartridge in it and made bookmarks for girlfriends and they loved it. I have 2, so one is for sticker making and the other for laminating. They also have one side sticker/one side laminating and a magnet making cartridge. Haven't used the magnet one though. If you don't have it, I would recommend it.

That depends mainly on how you intend to use the Xyron. If you plan to use it mainly to put adhesive on punchies, I'd recommend either the "X" or the 250 because those two are smaller and you wouldn't end up with as much waste. The "X" will accept items up to 1.5" wide and the 250 takes things up to 2.5" wide. If you want to adhere a whole matted layer, or make a large area sticky so you can apply glitter to it, you'd probably want the 510 because it can be used for items up to 5" wide. There's also a 500, which is very similar to the 510 but doesn't have the laminating and magnet cartridges available for it. But from what I've read, the 500 tends to be more problematic than the 510.

And for Christie, the OP, I use my 510 for Priority labels too! It's perfect for that!

I love my 510. So far I have laminated a newspaper article for a friend, and I plan to laminate recipe cards, also. I am so glad I bought it!

Love my 510 though I haven't used it for awhile. Haven't had the inspiration lately.

I'm already Jonesing for more Xyrons! I have the Cheetah 2" for smaller projects (layers), but am thinking of the X as well. I own the 1200, bought from joann.com for me for Christmas, but I haven't taken it out of the box. I also got a heaet laminator for Christmas that I haven't opened. Wish I could return it, but the store had a 2-week return policy. It's still a current model, so it's frustrating. (Staples.)

I have a 510, the original 850 (replaced now with the 900), AND, the little 150 "X". I love and use all 3.

I have the 900 and really like it. My DH likes me to laminate our 3 teams baseball lineups! I like the bigger size and find it quite versatile for all areas of my life!

I got the 510 for Xmas. I haven't had the chance to really use it like I want but when I have used it, it has worked great. Very easy to use. I also have the 150 X one and love that for punches, I used this one a lot. HTH
