Sounds like a companion to the game I just played last week - 200 flower eyelet pick-up!
I feel your pain!

I had ALL my eyelets ORGANIZED in a box meant for storing embrodery floss. I thought I was so organized.
My son was playing with it, but the lid was closed. I told him to put it down, then got distracted with dinner prep, homework with my other two sons etc.
I played that one before, but tend to drop one at a time every now and again! I use a handled (telescopic) magnet. I keep it short when I am sewing and just let my pins fall onto it. It is like a vacuum! Then you can play the game I invented - trying to get the last one off - with eyelets NOT pins! Lazy me! Well, at least I haven't call my kids!! (tee hee)
I played that game once too - at a workshop!! I was mortified to do it in front of my customers & spent a lot of time playing that game while they finished their make-n-takes!!
I have an eyelet organizer that has 18 compartments that I have a different color eyelet in each. Well, if you try to open the lid when it's upside down, everything falls out! You would think after the first time I did this that I would never, ever let this happen again! Hopefully, two times is enough to pick up hundreds of eyelets. Glad to know I'm not alone in this game.
Before SU started mailing the eyelet containers in plastic bags -- I got an order where the eyelet container opened during shipping and the eyelets were scattered all through the shipping box. Not only did I have to separate them into colors but I had to count them too to make sure that the customer got all of them!
Oh man, have I been there before! Actually, just the other night! The worst part was, was that my fingernails are very long at the moment and it was harder than, you know what, trying to pick them up!!

Hey, you must be new to these games! I'm a pro at the 1 gazillion mini bead pick up! What is worse is that my cats like to rub up against me while I am on the floor trying to scoop up what I can.
I have a game like that its called "1/16 eyelet pick up" and those are SMALL LOL.... I also reluctantly played with my 22 month old, pick up a case with about 3000+ eyelets that he somehow got to fall off the side, the case broke as well which was worse. I am just glad it didnt hit him on the way down! But I wasnt happy!!
I just played this game Thursday when I got my SU order! I ordered 5 sets of eyelets, and the one (thankfully only one!) container was broken that two of the sections were missing all the eyelets ... all thru my box and paper! My daughter's two cats had fun with the ones that were falling on the floor as I was slowly taking the paper out of the box and unwrinkling it! What fun!
