The stamp sets that ARE on EBay, are going for even more money than they did a few weeks ago...I think it's a direct correlation with the rules that have been recently put into place
or why you couldn't sell your sets as a non-demo on ebay.

I kept telling him that I can sell them, too, when I'm done or tired of the set. Now, I have to tell him that if they are a current set, I can only trade! Not for a happy dh...
AND I also said I was confused :? which is not a new thing for me LOL. I was trying to understand if I was understanding your post correctly-and apprently I still don't know.
Sets (esp. UM stes) always go for more on ebay b/c of the holidays-but that is the same for all the ebay products b/c now people are in that "Oh my gosh I have to get it because I can't find it anywhere else" panic mode! (not that *I* have ever done that). It is true also for things that are sold out at stores, like specific toys. So perhaps that is the correlation.
I knew I'd eat my words (that I would say no more...)!!
I'm glad to know that you weren't offending. I really enjoy this website & didn't want that to happen with any of my new acquaintances (hopefully, friends??).
Also, I didn't express what I was trying to say correctly. I had raved to my dh about this website and that I could sell my unwanted sets on HERE. I like the whole concept of everybody here for the same reason, etc.... I considered the ebay sale a distant second option. You know, with the commission on the sale and the whole "reserve" issue...
Anyway, if I'm still not making sense, let me know. I don't want anybody else who reads my posts to think that I'm wanting SCS to change their rules or that they are being unfair--that is far from the truth!! I understand and respect the rules of the site & happy to comply!

I'm sorry (ok not really), but I have to thank heresrita for the link on the BBC. I thought ya'll were talking about a tv station in England that had some wacky skit with chickens polling voters.....

Think of it this way:
I am a new demo (for real!)...I would RATHER trade retired for current supplies (THANKS MISH!!!) since I don't have my 'stash' like many other people. Although, I do still have that darn Hearts and Posies set...
As it has been said ad nauseum-if you are not a demo-by all means, go to ebay. If you are a demo-don't be naughty......just trade...
Now, go into the yard and play nice.
Oh man! The BBC....
