A package came in the mail, I didn't pay much attention to it, it was for dh, he gets stuff all the time. Next thing I knew he was cutting something up, asking for inkpad, and cardstock. He had ordered a set of Titanic based rubber stamps, I had to dig up some wooden blocks I had saved from unmounting, show him how to open the inkpad. The stamps made nice images, I guess he might let me use them. He built himself a poolhouse/mancave, and decorated it in a Titanic/nascar motif. Sounds yukky, but he pulled it off, looks really cool.
Wonder what will be arriving in the mail next.

Good job, hubby. Mancave sounds awesome, if a little spooky. My husband asks me for specific cards from time and time and one day wanted to try to make one. He stamped, colored and layered and ended with a good looking card. "This was way too much work for just one card" was his conclusion and went back to asking me to make them.

These are such good DH stories! Mine feels hindered by being color deficient but I bet he could make great cards -- I'm sure his colors would look good together even if he didn't know what they were! To him, sometimes green looks like orange, royal blue like purple, pink like gray . . . etc. But he has learned to live in "our world" and can usually tell the real color of something. Sad though he doesn't really see them the way we do. I think colors for him are all a bit more dull. He doesn't take a lot of pleasure in things like fireworks and sunsets.
I wish I could spend a day seeing color the way he does. Just to know, y'know?

:-) My hubby stamped cards when he proposed to me. And last night when we were talking he said what he was going to do tonight. We are getting a new dining set tonight and he said he was going to stamp a card on it! I thought he was serious...but then he laughed at me and said heck no I'm not going to stamp a card, lol! He's done it before so why not again, lol!
Titanic? Must have wanted to make drink coasters or something to match the decor. I've got glass coasters with a window in it to put in your own picture.
My hubby sat on the floor and ran the Big Shot for a couple hours to help me set up a make-n-take card workshop. He die cut a whole bunch of hearts, lol.
They seem to like the gadgetty things. My husband keeps going on about the cracked glass technique & distressing. He always makes my birthday cards too, though I get cross coz he uses loads of carefully hoarded embellishments!

I found a set of glass coasters, that have the insert opening for pictures. May have to look at which stamp image will fit in the opening, and what colors the White Star Line used.
Did ya'll read, the cruise ship company is offering the survivors of the disaster in Italy a 30% discount off any future trips. Are these people nuts, it will be a wonder the company does not go bankrupt after all of the litigation they will be facing soon. Shaking my head in disbelief.

Common sense has gone out the window in this world anymore. I bet there aren't very many of those people who will ever want to get on a cruise ship ever again! I am not a believer in all the suing one another but in this case I would own stock in that company! Their insurance will go way up and then they will pass it along to the customer so they probably won't feel too much of a sting.
The only thing my husband has ever touched in my studio is a marker or a Prisma colored pencil... when he needed to write something down!!! See the desktop computer is in there, and he looks on my desk and grabs whatever he finds, even though there is a can of regular pens and pencils there! He says, "there's a can of markers, and one of paintbrushes I can't tell the difference!" I had to 'teach' him to use things out of the butterfly can. lol
