Earlier this week I placed an order with Joann.com. Last night I got a shipping notice. The notice also said they were sorry but one item was out of stock. They then gave me a coupon code for 15% off my next order. Here's the kicker - the coupon code expires 4/30/07 (yes, 2 months ago!!!) What????
Oh, goodness. Their customer service really stinks! That's why I won't order from them anymore- unless they are the only place I can get somthing I want......

I filled out a survey about Joanns and they replied to me which I thought was great. They said they are upgrading their site and are having technical difficulties. They sent me a coupon for free shipping...duh I'm in the free shipping club.

when i placed my order, no notification was made that items were out of stock so i ended up paying FULL shipping for something like adhesive (the punches were out), oh i was ripping! i have NEVER ordered from them again, they are useless... so many wonderful woman have stores thru here, and the service is outstanding! i despise joannes!!!

Speaking of Joanns I have a question for those of you that live in the lower 48. Up here in Alaska they built this BEAUTIFUL Joann's store here in Anchorage. It is huge the aisles are easy to walk down and they just have tons of stuff! Every week they have something awesome on sale so it is a store I hit on a very regular basis. Please tell me that this is not just an Alaska thing and the Joann stores in the lower 48 have improved too!

It depends...
The Joann store closest to me is dismal at best. I can drive 12 miles to get to a Joann. Etc (I think that's what they call it). The selection is much much better, but the aisles are far from wide.
I think their online division sucks in general. I can't get an email or coupon from them to save my life. I think too many companies just on the internet band wagon without the infrastucture and staffing. I would email or call to tell them its the last time you'll ever order again.
Well, I got the Giga Scalloped Punch within 4 days and I'm very happy. Maybe I was just lucky.

Well, my package just arrived! On the packing slip was a coupon for 40% off the regular price one item on my next order and it expires 7/15/07 - a bit better, well maybe... I was hoping for 15% off total order, even sale items -that would probably be better! Now that I'm thinking, I think the 40% off is standard on all their packing slips...groan!
