Default How to use a Plaidmaker???

I just purchased a plaidmaker and sponge daubers and sponges. Is there an easy way to do this, what do they mean by inking up your sponges? I just used the sponges with the inkspot and its not working....HELP!!!!!

You need to be sure that there is ALOT of ink on you sponge and rub it into the lines. Personally, I think this is the hard way of doing it but works fine if you are making just one card. If you are making multiple cards (like making invitations or announcements or for SWAPS), I suggest using the foam attachment for the brayer. You need to get ALOT of ink onto the brayer and then go over the lines a few times, but the effect comes out very nicely.

If you are using daubers and you have the pastels I think that is the easiest way of all to use the plaidmaker for a single card. You get more of a layered look by using the pastels and don't have to worry about drying time. You just may want to be sure that the chalk is "fixed" in place when you are done (I use aerosol hairspray).

The brayer definitely makes things go quicker. Also you can make cool wall paper with this tool. You stamp the stripes with any small background stamp. Then use the coordinating marker to draw lines along both sides of the stipe. Then, move the template over so the stipes are between the lines you just made. Brayer solid stripes. This will give you alternating solid/pattern stripes on the paper. Very fun.

Good luck,
Annette
