Default How do you use a bone folder?

I usually just fold my cardstock by hand and it usually works fine. But I'm going to be making some bridal shower invites (actually two sets!) soon, and I'm wondering if there's a better way. I have the Fiskars trimmer with the scoring blade and I love how that works, but sometimes the two halves aren't equal after I do the scoring.

So I did break down and buy the SU bone folder (I'm a demo) - I know how to burnish a fold you've already made, but how to you use it for scoring? I would think if you used a ruler and ran the pointy end alongside the ruler, it could be off the same way mine was when I used the scoring blade.

Ideas anyone?

Susan,
If you start to fold the page in half and match the edges, than you can use the bone folder to finish it up. It makes a nice crisp edge.

Default Bone folders

I'm sure if you go to the forums and search for "bone folder" you'll find reams of threads about them. I remember one last week.
