I'm trying to figure out what kind of container should I store my finished cards in.....
Do you keep them in a file folder? Perhaps the good old shoe/photo box? A basket? Any suggestions would be great!
Terri
When I started selling my cards, I needed a place to keep them before selling them..... I have large photo boxes on a shelf for cards that I will send/give to people & I totally lucked out.....found these really cute black and white striped smaller photo boxes at the local $1.00 store- they are great for my cards that I am selling at school where I work, or for storing cards ready to be brought to the local artisan's co-op where I sell my cards. The REALLY cool thing about the black and white boxes is that they break down and fold fairly flat when not in use- then you pop them back up and they snap together- all for $1.00! I love finding bargains. I also have a berry basket on my desk for cards that need to be put into plastic storage envelopes with a paper envelope for selling. My display to sell my cards is a funky shelf painted black with lots of glitter painted swirls, etc. with berry baskets on top ( painted black) with a tag on front telling you what kind of card is in each basket. Good luck!

what a great find at the dollar store!
Do you sell your cards to teachers at your school?
i use a binder with clear pouches for my sards. i can get four on a page, on each side, so eight in a pouch thing, sorry, cant think what to call them. if nice because i made up alot of Christmas cards and people were able to just flip through the binder. binder is just a white 3 ring binder and the sleeves are poloroid photo holders from a company called centery photo. sort of like baseball cards go in, only bigger for greeting cards.
I buy my envelopes in the boxes of 250, and those boxes work great then for storing my cards - I have at least ten of them around at all times - also fun to decorate those boxes.
I store mine in the blue metal tin punch boxes that SU has.. they are available for purchase now through a demonstrator for $3.95.. I have lots and LOVE em'

I keep mine in a really nice square box that my sister gave me for Christmas a few years ago. I have them sorted out by occassion and a large index card with the name of the occassion on it. I also have some of them in plastic pouches (that remindes me I need to get some more) so that as people are looking through them they are not leaving stains. I keep the box on top of my desk so that it is handy to put finished cards into and also for people to look through. I do also scan each card that I make so that I know what I have made and what I have on hand.
I love to use the plastic shoe boxes you can get at Target for like 3 bucks. They are perfect....I can easily stack them and also see what is in each box.
Blessings.
I put them in clear sleeves and store them in an Iris cart drawer. I cut down manila folders to make dividers labelled for various themes (i.e. "Birthdays-Juvenile"). Christmas cards go into a metal box once housing embellishments.
