It's great stuff! It's a bunch of little frames, brads, clips, etc to embellish cards and scrapbook pages. The New Silver Hodgepodge in the Occasions Mini coordinates with more punches and has these adorable little ribbon slides!
You can mix a little crystal effects and re-inker and fill in the groove for the ribbon slides and it makes a great colored effect!
It is stuff you hoard....you simply buy it so you have it and then pull it out once in a while to look at and then tuck it away in your embellishment drawer.... LOL ... at least that I what I do with it!! I have a hard time actually USING it!! I am trying and getting a little bit better.....:-)

Does that mean that the silver hodgepodge does NOT have the same *ingredients* as the ones in the regular catalog?

Interested in your crystal effects mix but since I have no hardware can't quite picture it. Do you have a card in the gallery that you've done this with. It sounds cool.

No, it's actually very different! A few pieces are the same but the brads and ribbon sliders are completely different. The catalog does show the pieces if you take a peek.

Actually, I just moved so I have crystal effects with me but the reinkers are on the way. So, no examples to share yet. Sorry!
I love the HH as well, but I have one problem. I love the small oval ones and there are only 3 in the box. I've used them up quickly and now have none (boo hoo, poor me) and I wish that they would sell some of the pieces individually or in smaller collections, KWIM? It's expensive to buy the whole set and only use certain pieces in it. Some of them I have never used! Can't figure out what to do with them.
The best way to view the HPH online is to visit the Stampin' Up! website at www.stampinup.com . Click on the Spring/Summer Collection Catalog to view the Hodgepodge Hardware on page 188. Click on the "Occasions" Mini Catty to view the Styled Silver HPH on page 7. The two collections are different from each other. ;)

You know... there's a seller on ebay which only sells certain groups of hodgepodge ie. large oval ad small ovals. This is the American eBay mind you.
I have never bought anything from them but just thought you might like to know.
I hope they bring out the silver 'podge here in Australia too, i'd use it much more than the normal colours
funny I should see this post today...I have a swap going on for ideas to use these neat embellie...check it out at: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
it's a small & fast swap for only 8 people (6 now-signed up 2 swappers)

I tried some of these - not nearly as good quality as SU's but certainly workable.
However, I attach mine with eyelets more than with brads and the eyelets would not fit in the cheapo version. I had to enlarge each hole with my CropADile. It worked, but after about 20 punches I was wishing I'd just bought another SU kit instead!

I wish they would tell what size punches fit the square and rectangles. Is there a reference for this anywhere?
Both oval frames fit the SU punches perfectly. The square is 1-inch and hopefully that punch will be in the next catalog. The small rectangle works great with the Word Window punch. The larger rectangle does not have a punch as yet - maybe that is also ''coming soon'' ~ HTH.

I am the same way. I bought it right when it came out and I think I have only used some brads out of it. I look at it and think how pretty it is and I want to use it, but I am afraid someone will throw it away.
