Just wanted to know if any other Texas stampers are using the no school/no work/ice day to finish their Christmas cards. I have been putting it off for a week now and have no excuse not to do them. So I am frantically stamping and coloring so that I can enjoy some relaxed hot cocoa time today.
I'm in north Texas, and I'm using the day to plan the projects for the birthday party for my friend's daughter this weekend. This is my first time to do something like this, so it's taking some time. . .
We don't have any ice yet, just RAIN. YUCK!!!! However, we were supposed to get snow today, so I planned to be here all day and I'm sticking to it. This morning DS and I painted Christmas ornaments and we are planning on putting together a gingerbread house in the afternoon. The tree still needs decorating, but I dread putting the lights on it (my least favorite part). One day I'm going to get one of those pre-lit ones or just leave the lights on the tree and see how they hold up that way. I have not made even one Christmas card yet. We live far away from our family and friends, so we have picture postcards made for them and I will make some Christmas cards for my stamping friends when I get a spare moment. HA!! (like that's going to happen).
Good Luck to all of you iced in today!! Get those cards finished and post them so we can see them!!
You're so lucky! We don't have any ice on our roads so I'm at work. Marble Falls and Burnet ISD's just started later (10am) but everything is life as normal.
Bummer 'cuz I could have really used a stamp day today.

Darn bank. Its still open. I had been driving an hour to get to a meeting before I got the call that the meeting was canceled and I needed to head back to the branch!!!! Yuck. Stupid day!!
lol -- we never seem to get 'ice days' here in Edmonton -- always have to go to work or school. Good thing I can take my stamps/paper to work and work on them there -- just need to finish a few more cards, and then mail them!
