Default help! storing unmounted stamps

I have unmounted my SU stamps and I'm storing them and my TAC stamps in CD cases.

I can't figure out HOW to label them?!

I won't be able to find anything this way!

I REALLY need to store my TAC stamps and need the room so I already started unmounting my SU ones.

How do you label yours?

and if the entire set doesn't fit in ONE CD, do you label them as 1 and 2?

PLEASE post with an answer or idea....I'm feeling quite overwhelmed here

i make labels on my word program, with the name of the set and the # of the set. If it needs more than 1 case, i use 1 of 3, 2 of 3, etc. I then put them in groups of similar styles...flowers, victorian, words, etc. Not much of a help, but i hope I could ease it some!!

what do you do with sets that are a mix of things?
some of my SU stamp sets were a mix of various holidays/occasions

what would you do with these sets, as for organizing?

Mine are all unmounted and stored in CD cases.

To label the sets I used a program similar to printshop and picked address labels. I then typed 3 set names on each label and cut them up to put on the sets. If they are more than one I try to remember to put 1 of 2 etc.

I store mine in alphabetical order, seems to work better for me than trying to remember what group I put it in.

You probably did this already...but I cut out a paper the size of the cd case and stamped each stamp on it and put it in the case...like a cd cover sheet...so I can glance at it and know what is in each case...I am SO bad at remembering stamp set names, LOL hope this helps

All of mine are in folders that I ordered from www.Sundayint.com as of right now I have just been putting them together like Christmas stuff with Christmas and mixed sets that are versatile with other versatile sets. SAB sets with each other. I haven't truly came up with a system yet, but when I need something I just flip through my folders and find it and I seem to use my stamps more with them in the folders. Each folder holds a good portion of sets too.

I store mine alphabetically. I actually write the name on the spine of the CD case using a sharpie. And for the sets that need more than 1 cd case, I write 1/2 and 2/2.

I like the idea of the stamped page. I'm going to add that. Thanks for the great idea.

I have a label maker and I make labels on the sides of each one. For misc. stamps that I store together (small stamps sets stored together, misc. holiday stamps that are not a set etc) I label "misc." and then in a smaller font that allows me to print two rows I list what is in there.

Default CD's and unmounts

I take a peice of Cs and make it a little longer that the CD case (one side) and fold it to fit in the on the side.
Stamp all images and place them in CD holder in my work station.
