Default Help: Pricing of cards for Fundraiser

Hello, I am leading a high school service club fundraiser for several local pet rescue organizations. We are making pet sympathy, thank you and blank note cards to put in Vet offices, pet specialty stores and a couple of boutiques. I need help on pricing the cards. The cards are A2 size, with four layers and ribbon trim. All supplies used are Stampin' Up! They include a SU! envelope and are sealed in SU! translucent envelopes. The cost of materials is aproximately seventy cents. We are thinking that $4.00 per card, $2.00 of which will go to the pet rescue, $1.00 to the club and $1.00 to cover costs. What do you think? All opinions welcome!

I think $4.00 for that level of card quality is more than reasonable.

Thank you for your reply. I just got home from my first meeting with the office manager at one of the Vet's offices and she suggested the cards sell for $5.00. I have a couple of appts later in the week, so I am going to suggest $5.00 with $3.00 going to the rescue of their choice.

I do TWO swim team fund raisers...I sell the cards to them for $2.00 each and they usually sell for $4.00 or $5.oo each. I also supply them with the little totes with 4 cards each. I supply each team with 1250 cards to sell. Last year there was only less than 50 cards total not sold. All the totes sold too.
Good luck..it can be very lucrative.

Blessings.

I agree with the higher price; I think people are willing to pay more if it's a fundraiser. What a great project you've taken on! Good luck!

And 60% of proceeds to charity sounds better than 50%...

Question Need Help Also

I plan making some cards and misc things for a fund raiser for my sister. He recently had a brain aneurysm and is unable to work and doesn't have very good health insurance, so some friends are doing a fund raiser and I guess I wanted to know how much would you charge for about 4 cards per pack. I was thinking $5.00 but I don't want to be too cheep or too expensive. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks
