Exclamation HELP Please!

I forgot to take 2 stamps off of my acrylic blocks and they are now stuck and I do mean stuck to the acrylic! How can I get them off without ruining them? I am using them for the first time. They are from High Hopes Stamp Co if that makes a difference. Please help as I love these stamps and don't want to ruin them.
Thanks for any ideas to help me out.

What kind of adhesive did you use to stick them to the acrylic block?...

Just the sticky that comes on them. Maybe it is a permanent layer? I thought I ordered them with the mount for acrylic. Maybe i messed up and got the permanent ?

Just a thought but could you heat the back of the acrylic block with a heat gun?

They don't sell them with the mount for acrylic. If you ordered them with foam, it is the same type of double sided sticky foam that the SU! stamps come on. If you want your High Hopes stamps on EZ-mount for use with acrylic blocks, you need to order them "bare rubber".

I don't know what to suggest to get them off? Maybe goo-gone?

When we need to move a wood-mounted rubber stamp, scoot it back into place, or remove it from the wood, a 8-10-second visit in the microwave gets that adhesive gooey. It would be very sticky, but you could get the rubber off that sticky foam, and likewise get the foam off your acrylic block. You'll definitely need Goo Gone or a similar product to clean up the gunk though. ;)

Awww MANnnnn!! *sigh*.... I really was afraid this would happen to someone. Im so sorry you are having this problem!
We try to write all our customers to Re-emphasize that the sticky back foam we offer at the 50% off price point along with the bare naked rubber is PERMANENTLY Sticky, like one would use with wooden blocks.
If your stamp is permanently destroyed, or your acrylic block, please write me personally and let me know and we will replace either/ or both for you immediately!
I have used my permanently sticky foam backed dies in a pinch with acrylic blocks, but you have to remove them pretty fast and put the paper backing back on them, like within 2-5 minutes. I think that the permanent adhesive gets stronger over time. They do leave a sticky residue that I use Simple Green to clean off of my blocks with.
Again I am really sorry that you did not get what you thought you were ordering. We do now offer unmounteds on Cling ready to use at a different price point than the bare naked and sticky foam backed unmounteds. Write and I will send the price list. Our website should be updated shortly to reflect the new option, and price. Still, its a much larger savings to buy bare naked and mount them on cling yourself.
Please do let me know how this turns out, and if I can be of help in any way!~ Tina

Thanks for all of your help. I will try the microwave and see if that works. I am not too worried about the blocks I just want to save the stamps as I love them. I love all of the High Hopes Stamps. Next time I order it will be "bare naked rubber"
Now that almost sounds dirty.

I agree with Cydstamps. I have been super happy with all of my orders from you. That I ordered the wrong backing is not anyway your fault. I have an order in right now as a matter of fact. I love your stamps and have always gotten the best service from your company!

Default DO NOT USE GOOGONE on your rubber stamps!

The label on GooGone specifically states that it is not safe to use on rubber!

I just saw it mentioned above so I thought I'd be sure to remind everybody!

What about UnDo. That stuff is amazing and has the tool to get to the sticky stuff.

I would suggest Undo, too. It is amazing.

I don't know if you could microwave the acrylic block like we can wood blocks. It might be worth a try for 5 seconds and check to see if it's loosening and then try another 5 seconds. It doesn't hurt the rubber. I think it would be fine since we put acrylic type bowls in the microwave.

Thanks for any ideas to help me out.

Something you might want to try, After getting them off the blocks.

Is to put Tack it over and over glue on the sticky or bare rubber.

I do this with Hambo Stamps They come with the Red Rubber and Double sticky foam. Already mounted onto the rubber.

I have about 5 stamps from Hambo and they would great now that I have the TIO&O glue on them.

Hope everything works out good for you!

I am so happy to see you will be offering the rubber on cling! I think I'm too lazy to do it myself, I just want to use my unmounted right out of the box!

I can't wait to see the updated website, then I will finally place my looooong overdue order!
