Question Help! How do I get a "multicolored" look to a stamped image?

Hi - I hope that's not a dumb question.....I'm really new to stamping, and am stuck already!!! I saw a card stamped with Calming Garden, where the flower in the pot stamp wasn't stamped in black....each section appeared to be a separate color. How do you do that? Would you stamp in a light color (say Close to Cocoa or Going Gray) and then go over the outline in the color of your choice with watercolor pencils or markers? I hate having flowers with black stems.....seems so harsh. Thanks for your help!!

Hi,
You can take markers and color each section in a different marker color (ex. the leaves can be green and the flower can be pink). Then you "huff" on the stamp to moisten it again before stamping it on your paper.

OR

You can stamp in SU's Basic Brown which doesn't bleed and isn't as harsh as the black. Then color in with ink, markers, pencils..whatever.

HTH!
