Default Have you sharpened your own scissors?

First, I'm not talking about my KAI scissors ;) just my plain ole regular scissors that I use to cut paper and ribbon.

I saw in the fabric department at wal-mart's they had a sharpener for about $5.00. All of my scissors are really dull and really need sharpened. Just wondering if this thing really works!

Thanks

Never done it. I always take my fabric scissors to fabric store to have them done professionally. They usually have someone once a month or so to do it.

Yes I have and it works great. I purchased a pack of scissors and it came with a hand held sharpener that I have seen for sale at Michaels and JoAnns! It was no more than $2. It is by Fiskars. Once I used it I ran around the house doing ever pair I have!

Try this first, cut a piece of sandpaper into thin strips. This works with sticky punches and pinking shears also.
