Gallery comments get deleted?

I was just referencing back to a card with an image I loved. I had commented on it a few times because I was so excited and in love with it. Now my comments are gone from that photo. Why would that be? :confused: Is it not ok to be overly gushy?

Just your comments and nobody else's? As far as I know you are the only person who can delete a comment you left, Certainly the person whose card you left it on can't, as far as I know. The only people who could are the gallery mods and I don't believe any of us would ever do that. I've certainly only ever deleted my own comments when I accidentally post a duplicate. Is it possible that the person deleted their upload and then uploaded again?

Sabrina's right - there's no option for the owner of a photo to delete comments that are left in the gallery so the only options would be deleting your own coments (which presumably you'd know about!) and the moderators.

As with posts in the forum, I think the only circumstances where mods would delete something would be if it broke the SCS terms of service (basically you'd have to be really offensive or advertising/soliciting - the full site posting rules are here).

Did you have the picture saved in your Favorites or did you go to it again through a search? I'm not sure what would happen under Sabrina's delete/upload again scenario if it was in your Faves - I'm imaginging the new upload would be in a new location so it would no longer be in your Faves list?
