Default Forcing the printer to print on thick cardstock

I have Papertrey's thick 110 lb paper, and my cheap printer refused to print on it. I found this site:
http://www.inkjetart.com/thick.html

...and now my printer prints on this thick cardstock!!!! YEAH!!!!

Basically the link says cut a 1.5 inch strip of normal printer paper and tape one edge to the thick cardstock, overlapping them by .5 inches.

Also, this link was for an Epson printer, but it works for my totally cheap HP f380 printer too.

Of course you will not even have this problem if you have a NICE printer, one which will let you straight-feed the paper.

This would be nice if you want to give digi-stamps a try.
But I just wanted to make some eye-catching flyers in Papertrey colours!!

Good to know. I have also found a tip that works in my HP. I take out all but the piece of paper I want to print on. I put light pressure on the back of the sheet with several fingers pushing in as the printer feeder tries to pick it up. This works every time for me.

Hi Tamara!
Yes, that is what I do with the 80 lb weight cardstock that I have. I tried over and over to do that with PaperTrey's paper and my printer just refused to have it.
