I didn't get home until 10:45 pm, so haven't had a chance to do anything but admire my new birthday cake set, and the beautiful set of words. These words will look beautiful with my flourish stamps from Autumn Leaves.
I need a birthday card for a man's 50th on Sunday, so I'll be playing with the cake set. I hope I can made them look as nice as the sample cards on the website.
The package was so nicely wrapped, it was like opening a gift. There was even a little bonus surprise. Eileen

The company is calleld Flourishes. It's brand new. I don't know the differences, of acrylic and photopolymer, but they are very nice, and stamp well. They have an opening special with the two new sets. They don't actually have a flourish stamp, but I imagine they will. They have the cake set, and another set with beautiful flourish style words. I don't want to ruin the surprise. It's something useful, and it's not candy.

The cake set looks ADORABLE I love being able to make your own cake.
Dumb question - is photopolymer the same thing as acrylic?
Technically all clear stamps are NOT acrylic. The term is just applied to them because that's how we mount them, on acrylic blocks. Photopolymer is an excellent high grade clear stamp like Technique Tuesday, Hero Arts, Paper Trey, MFT, etc.
I ordered on the first day, which was Thursday, and they got here yesterday, which was Monday. Nicely packaged, and a little surprise.
They also include a CD case for storage. The words are so beautiful, and the cake is so much fun. Eileen

I got mine too! Two of my kids have played with it (along with me). It is easy enough for a 5 year old and a 9 year old. If I weren't making a gazillion wedding cards for my dear brother-in-law I would have more time to really play and make some cards for my gallery...boohoo!
I am glad to say that the Florishes shipping room has been very busy wrapping,and packing the orders so that my dh--loving dubbed-"Manual Labor" can makie sure that they get promptly to the USPS office...as of yesterday we were up to date with shipping, with NO backorders.
Please tell Manuel Labor that we appreciate his efforts. We all stand by the door waiting for the deliveries of our toys, just as children listen for the music of the ice cream truck. We don't get ice cream trucks here, but if we did, I'd be waiting for it, too.

I ordered mine yesterday (and didn't have the code for the 15% discount) went "oh well it will be worth it" and then got an email sometime last night from Nancy giving me the code and saying if I couldn't cancel the order, she would get it taken care of for me. Which she did, and I reordered today.
I was so shocked! I will be ordering there again for sure.

I'm so glad you ladies are liking the sets and getting them in your hands. It has been so much fun doing samples with them -- I'm so anxious to see what you all do -- when you upload these cards, as there is no gallery for them, please remember to put the name of the set, either Cake Decorating 101 or Flourished Words, in the Keywords so your card will pop up when people search. Searching for Flourishes doesn't work so well as there are many SU sets with the word Flourishes in them, so it is a huge mix of cards popping up.
Anyway, I'll be checking daily for uploads from all of you -- can't wait to see them!!! Also, just can't wait to see what Flourishes has in store of us next!!!!

Well, didn't take long after getting home to order the special, and am eagarly awaiting decorating more cakes SOON!!!

Your kids must be so happy to play with your stamps! My five year old and and three year old love stamping, but sometimes it gets a little hairy because my two year old always makes a ruccus and wants everything to himself

Oh my gosh, Tracy -- how I remember those days!!! LOL!!! They go by all too quickly -- but it does make for easier stamping -- LOL!!!
Well, thats what I get for not checking in at SCS for a few days. Shame on me! My loss ~ but, hey! I just ordered and can't wait to get them, even tho I missed the 'sale'. I'm signed up for newsletters and everything!! Awesome!!

I just received my Cake Decorating set from Flourishes...woo-hoo. I'm going to play with it tomorrow!!!! Such wonderful care came to the packaging of the set...the presentation is wonderful. Thanks to Flourishes and the lovely ladies that enabled me...I'm off to the gallery for tons of ideas!!!
Like Anirok I've had great customer service -- I forgot to enter the discount code and actually got an email from Nancy telling me that! She had me cancel and reorder rather than pay more than necessary... they certainly earned my loyalty. Can't wait to get the stamps.
