Default faux aged paper

Hi - been looking at all the great sketch 3 samples...one in particular has caught my attention. It's made with the coffee set and the paper looks like coffee spilled on it. In the comments that people have made a noticed mention of a lemon. I tried to get the directions in the Techniques forum but wasn't successful. Cany anyone help me??

Thanks
Mary

Hi, I didn't see the card-but I made a card and what I did was-crumbled the paper up-then uncrumbled it and sprayed it with water-I then sprinkled instant coffee on it and sort of swirled it around-then set on a drying rack. It turns the paper a brownish color (antique) and has darker spots here and there. It looked great and the person I gave it to loved it. I hoped this helps. Good luck.

Maybe the lemon juice is used the way you'd use it for "secret writing", and you iron the paper after you stamp or paint with lemon juice. The ironing turns it a shade of brown.

You got my curiosity up so I had to find the card. It's great! She tells how it was done on page 2 of the comments.

"This technique is so easy!! All you have to do is sponge, paint or pour lemon juice on your card stock & heat. The more you heat the more "aged" your card stock will get. Have fun experimenting & thanks for all the great comments!"
