Expressionistic Watercolor- What am I doing Wrong?
I have been messing w/ this technique for a week now and it just doesn't look good... what is the key to this technique? I am stamping on glossy and misting water... am I missing something major? I have searched and have found no threads on this... HELP!!! How much is too much? I have colors running down the page in big line like streaks!
We did hear at the St. Louis Regional in January that they were going to try to have watercolor paper in the new catalog. YEAH!!! Hope Beate's suggestion works for you. That is such a beautiful technique.
Don't use glossy paper. Try using our confetti or natural cardstocks. Whisper White doesn't work too well for me either.
I hope this helps. Hugs and smiles.
And I've been using Whisper White! Thanks for the tip ...
Isn't it amazing how quickly we've switched to the new name! As a Canadian, everytime I saw US White I thought it was only for Americans  Whisper White is much more international!
Try misting the CS (naturals or confetti) really well before stamping...then dry with a heat gun (or air dry if you're patient)...then overstamp again on the dry CS.

I think I have this all wrong... I am stamping, then misting... not right? I think I need step by step direction! I feel like such an idiot! I never get the simiplist things...Thanks Jami!
Mist first. Stamping on the wet cardstock causes the ink to spread immediately. Everything will look blurred. Then stamp a few of the images again after the CS is dry.
