Default Envelopes

Hi Ladies,

I am having a stamp a stack the begining of Dec and I want to offer envelopes similar to the ones SU carries but I am lookig for a cheaper price. I know Walmart has some but they seem to be thinner than SU and they go into a V in the back.. I want ones just like in our catty. Anyone out there have one of those wonderful little discount sites they could share with me???

Thanks!!!

Another neat idea is to use clear envelopes. SU doens't carry them so not an issue there. And a great way to show off your card while in the mail. I got mine pretty cheaply at deluxe cuts online. It took a while becuase they were having a big sale, but worth it for the price I paid. I bought over 200 envelopes.

I just got 6x6 square white and vellum envelopes from Action envelopes, http://www.actionenvelope.com/
Their prices were very good and they seem to be the same quality as SU. I found them from a suggestion from someone on SCS, but can't remember who to give the credit.

Default Envelopes

I've seen the templates for envelopes. Does anyone make their own envelopes from templates or do you purchase them. If you use a template, do you have a good one that you'd suggest? Any thoughts / suggestions is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Pam

I am not sure of the page number, but somewhere in the back of the book SU has the clear envelopes, they are 50 for $4.95. I agree with Steffani that they do look great in the clear envies. Sometines though they do require 12 cents extra postage if it is a bulkier card because they don't feed them through the machine at the post office.

I have the envelope templates, but rarely ever use them, because it takes so long to cut them out if I have a lot of cards to do. If I am just doing one or two, it's not that big a deal. Then you have to buy the paper for them, I think it gets kinda pricey. Ends up being abot 19 cents an envelope if you use the regular CS. Just another opinion though

I sometimes use my envelope template to cut envelopes from wallpaper books. Stores that have these discard them every couple of months and will usually give them to you at no cost. Pretty envies--and the price is even prettier!

sometimes an interesting magazine page makes a good envelope, I haven't made any in a while, I'll have to start doing that again.

Default Envelopes like SU - Anchor paper in Mpls, MN

Anchor paper in Minneapolis has envelopes exactly like SU. I think the brand is WASAU.

Confetti and naturals are $10 a pound ($5/lb for cs) and the metalic ones can be purchased by the carton or ream.

I think they have a website but you probably have to buy by the carton/ream.
