drywall tape

Does anyone know if drywall tape is safe to use in photo albums? I was under the impression that it wasn't because it has fiberglass in it, but recently read somewhere that it is considered safe for photo albums. Thanks! Heidi

You've got me on this one! I'm not sure--I've never heard a yes or a no on drywall tape. I do know there are ph test pens that you can use to determine if a product is acid-free. Have you checked into that?
