Do you use the same cleaner on all stamps? I use Ultra Clean on everything these last few weeks? Is that safe for all stamps? I really do not want to have to use different cleaners for different stamps and I am totally addicted to the Ultra Clean.
I'm joining this thread because you asked my question. Thanks!

for you are crunchy and good with ketchup.
(borrowed from the quirkey card sayings thread).
You can try Stampingfreak.com (they carry the spray bottle and the newly released refill size bottles), or Stampington.com, etc. I know those two places carry it for sure.
Or, if you do a "google" and use Ultra Clean as your key word, it should turn up.

Well I had always used stampin ups cleaner for all my stamps but all of my acrylics( which isn't much) are sticky now. They almost rip the paper when I stamp them and pull them off. I am going to order CTMH but I do have Ultra Clean. Do you think I should try that first?
Ultra Clean is perfect for clear stamps! I think it says on the label "rubber and clear stamps" but don't quote me! I think if you are having a problem with baby wipes, it is because most contain alcohol which dries out both rubber and acrylic stamps. I have always heard to make sure baby wipes are alcohol free...better check mine!

I don't know that you can recondition clear stamps . . . hmmmmm. I wonder if the other clean has caused a chemical reaction on the surface of the polymer??? Or, perhaps it's leaving a residue behind that is causing the "stickiness" you described?
Of course, it may also depend on whether your clears are made of silicone, vinyl, or photopolymer???
Personally, I'd be inclined to try cleaning them with the Ultra Clean and see what happens.
As for baby wipes, I find the "fuzz" from some baby wipes, depending on the brand, sticks to my clear stamps and it bugs me, so I quit using baby wipes altogether to clean my clears.

Sorry Emily Ann, I just saw your question. I think the Ultra Clean leaves them a bit oily (especially in the depressions) even if I stamp off after cleaning. I think they just seem cleaner (not less stained) with the CTMH cleaner and they seem to pick up less lint, etc.

Thanks cincimom,
So what if one were to use Ultra Clean and then the CTMH spritz? No stains and no oily residue? Or is that over kill?
I am a bit picky and like my stamps to look clean. Maybe that's why I have been reluctant to use my clear stamps. Afraid I won't get them clean enough. Sigh..., need to be more creative and not so practical!
They recommend to not using the Stazon ink with the clear stamps:
"Solvent based inks, such as StazOn, aren't the best choice to use with polymer stamps. The ink is very hard to clean off without their special cleaner. The StazOn cleaner can damage your polymer stamp. Baby wipes are a great method of cleaning polymer stamps. You can also use mild soap and water or alcohol. There are also cleaners made specifically to be gentle enough for use with polymer stamps."

CTMH says that staz-on is fine on our clear stamps, and I use it all the time with no problems, but I have seen where other companies (such as Inky Antics) are saying not to use it on theirs. If you stamp in a lighter color first and then use staz-on it help lessen the staining, and I've found Mr Clean Magic Erasers work pretty well in removing the stains. But I've heard so many good things on here about Ultra Clean I might give it a try
Emily Ann, I'm so picky that I don't even clean my acrylics on the same pad as my rubber stamps. I don't want any of the oily build up from the pad on them either. I know I am certifiable. I do wash out my cleaning pad that I use ultraclean on after every couple of stamping sessions. I like my stamps clean, too. This is what works for me.
Well I have only used stampin ups but I do have Ultra Clean. But as far as I am concerned, I think they are ruined. I mean when I stamp with them they stick to the paper and they are CTMH stamps. I have only used them a few times so that is why I am reluctant to buy anymore. I never have any problem with my stampin up or other rubber stamps. Let me know if anyone has this problem. Shawnee
