Default Do you get "attached" to certain cards?

Does this happen to you? I might spend extra time, making a card for someone, and I like it so much, I don't want to give it away!

Sometimes I'll make 2 or more of the same card, but it happens that you make a one-of-a-kind item that you can't replicate exactly the same way!

Sorta defeats the purpose of making and giving cards. . .

Hi Rene - I know what you mean. I tend to make one-of-a-kind cards and I put a lot of time and effort into them. However, once I started scanning and saving my cards I didn't feel so bad about sending them off. I can look at them anytime I want and it's a great reference when I want to make another one. Linda

Default cards

I use to make two of everything so I would have a sample......but my samples got out of control! So I just scan them now. If I want to refer to something I made I just check out my file folder

This happens all the time for me! I have begun to scan my cards and I keep them in protective sheets in a 3-ring binder...at least I can look at them!

SCS better be around for a long time or I am going to be up a creek. I started making two of everything, but with having babies I haven't been able to keep up with all the cards I need to send and been digging into the stash. Luckly I learned how to upload them now and don't need to have tons of samples laying around.

I can't bear to get rid of a card i especially like, I am not one for making 2 at a time. but now i just get over it , scan it and send it to someone. after all its not doing me a whole lot of good sitting in my card box.

oh, oh I could always frame it and hang it on the wall
I'm so vain, i probably think this post is about me

I take a digital picture of (almost) every card or project that I make before I give them away.

Sounds like everyone scans theirs - - I have a scanner right next to me but have never taken the time to learn to use it.

Should I?

you should definitely learn to use your scanner, of course they are not any good for bulkier projects, but perfect for cards and scrapbook pages.

Ok!

I'm going to make sure I learn this week over spring break. I'm sure one of my kids will be happy to show me - ha! My guess is that it will be much more convenient and more consistent lighting than taking pictures.

Thanks!
