we're #3 only because it was just counting our home page in the stats. the sites above us have the counter on *every page* of their site.
I've temporarily added the counter to the gallery pages as well (just until we're #1 then I'll remove it). I don't know if it's coincidence or not, but ever since I did that the top 50 site has been offline half the time. could the traffic back from our site (it needs to track each time a page from this site gets loaded) be overloading their server? who knows...
Addicted to Rubber Stamps is No. 1, and I'll have to admit it's a fun place to shop. I looked at the top (maybe) ten sites the other day, and most of them are scrappbooking sites. I've never scrapbooked a page in my life, but I stamp all the time. Most of the top stamping sites (except SCS and Addicted) were of zero interest to me.

Don't discount the scrap sites - a LOT of them carry tons of ink and stamps now! Then again, I may be biased, as I'm also a scrapper, and one of my personal favorite sites is in the top ten. They don't stand a chance against this site, but Stamping Top 50 is an offshoot of Scrapping Top 50, and most of the scrap sites that carry stamps registered first. As word gets out, you'll see more and more stamp sites edging out the scrap sites. I really think SCS will overcome the #2 site very quickly, though. As of right now, SCS has gotten 20,000 more hits TODAY than the #2 site, so we should be at #2 within a week. #1 has their stats password protected, or I'd crunch those numbers for you, too. Just remember to stop here once a day (or every time you log in if you're on dial-up) and it' won't take long at all.
(Can you tell I've done this number-crunching thing for a scrap site before? *LOL*)
