Default Craft Stores/Vegas

I'm going to be going to Las Vegas for a weekend next month. Any craft stores I need to check out?

I suspect the number one destination for stampers visiting Vegas is Viva Las Vegastamps - I’ve never been but I hear you can spend a whole day just in the used rubber bin! There’s a little walk through video , I’m sure there are others on YouTube as well.

Have fun on your trip!

Sorry, looks like there’s a forum hiccup on formatting links - I hope you can grab the store’s web address from what I added!

I have been to VivaLasVegaStamps. It is filled to the brim with stamps!
It is in a somewhat sketchy area. When I went, the door was locked and
there was a sign to ring a bell. A clerk came and let me in. I followed her
down this long hallway into the store. Rows and rows of stamps! Bins of
unmounted stamps on sale. Not too much of other things. Lots of fun
looking!

Viva Las Vegas Stamps is a MUST. You might want to see what they offer on their website before you go. I was blown away the first time I visited. I didn't have a car so I took a taxi to and from, which today would be ubering it. good luck and have fun!

LOVE VLVS! Went to Vegas in 2008. It's about a mile off the Strip. Hubby and I walked there, but took a bus back. I'm a inner city girl, so area didn't bother me, hubby was a little nervous.

Stamps, stamps, and MORE stamps!

If you're allergic to pets, take what you need to combat your issues, because they, the last I knew, have their pets in the store.

Be sure to contact the store ahead of time. They don't have regular weekend hours, so check ahead before going!

VLV is a bucket wish list place I want to visit.

I live in an area that is considered sketchy. Sketchy areas usually have really kind people & lots of treasure stores to be found.

I heard good things about these stores- Paper Bunny & ScrapbooksRus.

I have been to Paper Bunny and Scrapbooks R Us. They were both a lot of fun. I would love to go to Viva Las Vegas Stamps! I am pretty sure that all they have is wood mount or unmounted rubber stamps, but they have so many, that it would be fun just to look at all of the different ones they offer!

I went to Viva Las Vegas about 15 years ago and it was the same thing ... ring a bell and they let you in. Loved it and came home with tons of stamps!!!

The folks who own VLVS are really nice and very accommodating. The husband actually made me an unmounted version of a mounted stamp - while I waited! It only took about 15 minutes, and it was still warm when he brought it out. The store is amazing too! It is off the beaten path, so you might have a little trouble finding it. It's on the old strip, and the neighborhood is a litte sketchy, but it's not bad during the day.

I second the advice to visit VLV stamps. Yes, not a great area, but you would be going in the daytime, and, if driving, no worries. I would not walk there from The Strip ( way too far for a walk, anyway), but I drive there often and there is parking right in front of the door. The stamps are really well- organized, and the owner can find what you need in a jiffy. Lots and lots of word stamps, many that are humorous. As previously mentioned, the stamps are red rubber, mostly wood- mounted. I rarely can get out of there in less than an hour.
The Paper Bunny is very, very different from VLV. It has a wonderful selection of paper- crafting supplies - clear stamps, dies, and oh so many pretty papers. The owner knows her stock and is very helpful. There are often scrappers working at the tables there. Check the website for special events. “Garage Sales” are held some week- ends, and I’ve picked up some great bargains.
if you would like company or a driver, pm me here. I’m usually free on weekends and would be happy to assist a fellow stamper.

Another massive vote for VLVS! Hubby took me to Las Vegas some years ago, and I informed him we WOULD be going to VLVS, and he would NOT act like a petulant 5 year old while we were there (whining, twitching, "can we go now?", etc. They had a husband chair, and he sat and read the book he took with him while I went through the "rubber buffet" of unmounted rubber stamps. This was back when Wayne (Stampo) was still there. When one of his cats knocked my pile off the check out counter, trying to get in the bag, DH had to crawl around on the floor retrieving the stamps. It was a hoot! Wayne was too chubby and I have bad knees. Be sure to check out the tape deal- the tape is WONDERFUL stuff, and you can get a great price on the deal.I especially adore the "NOT HALLMARK" stamps- they have several versions. My fave is the word Hallmark with the circle and slash superimposed on it.I have a warped sense of humor, and I like many of their snarky x rated stamps, too (Mt. Dickmore & No Dickheads especially). I sent a group of girlfriends there and they were creeped out by Wayne & the location, but he was just a tubby little gay man who had too many cats & dogs (hair everywhere), and they were a group of four women, so reasonably safe?

I second this--suggest checking out their website first. I had MAJOR overload when I went there and was glad I had a few things in mind before going to the store. So many stamps to look at. You could spend a ton of time there.

Wow. I think that is the most wood stamps I have seen in one place in my life by far! I would NOT want to have to do annual inventory in there! LOL

I love digging in bins but I am not good at knowing what a plain rubber stamp image is often.
