Default Cornish Heritage Farms - weathered background

Have any of you bought the "weathered" background from Cornish Heritage Farms? Just wondering what you think of it, in comparison to SU's ... I'm also wondering, if anyone knows, if I buy an unmounted one, will this background fit on a SU! background wood ... is it the same size???

Yes, Yes and Yes!

I have it, I love it and it is soooo close to the SU )so is the Chicken Wire) and yes, it fits the SU block.

HTH

I have the unmounted weathered backgrounder from CHF and can't recommend their stamps highly enough! They are great, and a fabulous, classy company to deal with. When you order UM from CHF, you just have to let them know if you want it on Smart Cushion (like EZ Mount) or with a sticky backing for permanent mounting onto a wood block.

I do have their Chicken Wire background and like it ... so I think I will order the Weathered from them too ... Mahloumel, were you the one who posted a while back that you buy them unmounted and then just stick them to the sticker side of one of your mounted SU! background stamps? Just wondering if I should try that ... decisions, decisions!

Think like this.

Unmounted is cheaper
You can use the sticker side of you SU BG
You can lay it impression side up on the table and stamp with it too!

I have one BG block I bought from Cornish Heritage and I use it for my unmounted BG and big stamps

OK I will second, third, fourth whatever the CHF bkg stamps!! I bought the CHF Weathered Wood INSTEAD of the SU one because it runs vertically and not horizontally like the SU one. With it running vertically I can have it go either way, the way SU did theirs it really limits it's use IMHO.

Ok I also have the Chicken Wire and Paisley from CHF and I love those too! I got mine all UM and have an acrylic block, but I never use the block. I just plop the stamp down on my table, ink it up and turn the paper over on top of the inked stamp. Poof! But I do that with my SU bkgs too

Another thing you can do if you get the UM with Smart Cling is temporarily mount it to the sticker side of an SU bkg you already have. It'll peel right off HTH

Okay, so I should buy the UM with Smart Cling ... then I can either use it directly laying flat on the table, OR temporarily mount it to the sticker side of one of my SU! backgrounds on the sticker side ... okay, THANK YOU ladies for all the advice! I will be placing a small order ... I did read though that they are in the process of adopting a baby and wont be processing any orders until next week (which is just fine with me). I just think it is so wonderful that they are adopting a baby!

TWO thumbs up here!! I own 5 Cornish Heritage Farms B/G's and LOVE them.... use them ALL the time! AND.... like someone else said... the company is wonderful to do business with.

I get the UM's on the Smart Cling. They come with the cling already on the back, and they are cut to purrrfection.... ready to GO! I have a big acrylic block for mine.... but, it sure was neat to hear people say they use the S/U sticker side of their wood! VERY CLEVER!! :-D
