Well, I'm not one for New Year's resolutions but I made one this year. Before I can start a "brand new card", I have to finish something from my HUGE "unfinished projects" craft drawer. After I complete an old project I can make something new, and so on and so on.... This is my new 12 step program to get old stuff finished. Does anyone else have this problem??

OHHHH, I'm so glad to hear someone else doesn't finish all projects. I'll start something but see something else (usually on Splitcoast) that looks totally cool and I just have to try it right away - no willpower to wait until I finish my current project.

I usually have several craft projects going at once. I don't like to work on the same thing all of the time. So I quilt, scrapbook, cards, paint.......

I'm in! I've got so many half-completed projects floating around that it's ridiculous. Reminds me of the lady who named her blog "Stamping ADD." I'm totally guilty of that!
I have alot of photos stacked neatly by theme or by date that I need to get to but I'm not gonna fret over finishing everything. Sometimes in order for my creative juices to get flowing I need to tackle something new!
I do this with more than craft projects. I'll grade half a set of tests, then grade some homework. I'll clean off half the dining room table, then start cleaning out the refrigerator. I still have half finished counted cross stitch, and I pretty much haven't even done that since I started papercrafting.
For me, I think it's just my personality. Oh my........
No, I think I'm **** like that. I almost always finish what I'm working on before starting something new. Well, that is unless we're talking about sewing projects. I have a HUGE unfinished stash of those.
I thought it would be a nice thing to try - finishing something before starting something new - but had to do a sympathy card so. . . still have the same 50 unfinished projects I started 2009 with!!!
Maybe for me a more realistic goal would be to not ADD any more unfinished projects.
Your goal of finishing previously uncompleted projects is a good one. I have tons of those. But for me, I can't see going back and digging all that stuff out again. My goal is simpler... just finish what I start and don't add anything more to the unfinished pile. That would be a huge accomplishment for me.
Sadly I have hundreds of dollars in photos I printed to scrapbook but haven't touch because my Christmas 2007 vacation is not done yet. Haven't gone back to working on it since around may.
Tons of other half done projects, including a amy brown flower fairy cross stitch I stared in 2000 I think.
But this year is for weight loss, quiting smoking and cutting spending.
