Default Clear or regular envelopes?

If price was no issue and you can purchase each type as easily, would you use clear or paper envelopes to mail/hand give your cards?

I want to see my cards and trying to decide which envie to use. I use both for mail/hand give.

Thanks!

I meant sell my cards, not see.

Did there use to be an edit mode here?

I love the clear envy, but if you are selling, maybe traditional would be the way to go. I always just cut a sheet of copy paper to size and address it then slip it in the clear envy, don't know if buyers would want to do the extra step. Just my thoughts. But I LOVE to receive a card in the clear, it's like a little peek at a great surprise.

I actually use both. For selling, I put the card and a white stamped envelope into a clear envelope. This way customers and flip through the cards without getting grimy fingerprints on them. I'm a little OCD about this especially if the cards are white or light.

For personal use, I always use white envelopes that have been stamped or lined to match the card. I figure that most of these wind up in the trash, so I don't bother with expensive ones.

Aaah, makes sense!
I've been hoarding my creations because I make more than I give.
I moved two boot size boxes of cards (this was after giving away two boxes of them) and now think it was just silly. So will try to sell them locally and see what happens.

Is http://www.clearbags.com the best place to order envies online? I can't go to a store or ask anybody because I am overseas (APO).

www.clearbags.com are pretty good with their prices but you may also want to check ebay. Over a year ago, I bought well over 200 clear envelopes at an amazing price but can't rememberwho the seller was.

I found a UK co that's comparable to clearbags but cheaper shipping for m since I'm in the UK: http://www.sohopaper.co.uk. The size is very different than the US size of 4 3/8 x 5 3/4 but it will probably work better for me at 4.45" x 6.25" because my cards always have something sticking out of one or both sides. According to USPS the price of stamps is no different either.

I wonder if people in the UK has to pay extra for bulky mails... the $.20 that I usually pay to mail out cards I make.

If I were mailing or hand delivering a card, I would never use a clear envelope. I don't want everyone seeing the card I made for the recipient. The cards I make are personalized.

If I were receiving a card, I also would not want a clear envelope for the same reason as above.

Just my opinion.
