Ok, I just got my clear EP. What do I do with it?
Do you scrapbook? I use my clear ep all the time in my scrapbooks.
I type my journalling or title on the computer, print it on vellum in any color ink & then emboss with clear ep and adher it to my page. it gives it that 3D look with the added benefit of making it waterproof - so if your scrapbook page gets wet, your ink won't run.
Guess you could do the same thing with cards.
You can emboss on US white, then either sponge or brayer over it. The embossed images will remain white. Check out the bottom of this card for an example:

Just be sure you use a VersaMark pad and not tinted embossing ink when you do this resist technique -- the color of the ink will stay there permanently! (Can you tell I learned this the hard way? )

Another way to emboss is to first ink your stamp on Versamark and then ink on your Classic Pad (you do not need Craft for this). Then stamp and emboss. The Versamark turns any dye pad into a pigment style pad. It will not hurt your dye pad and the Versamark is actually good for it and keeps your dye pad juicy!

Thanks Dot2dot I didn't know this!! I'm just a newbie and have been thinking about trying the embosing too!! I didn't know what color I should order...now I do...clear seems to be winner. Good thing I asked because I wouldn't have ordered it on my own!! Thanks to all that posted!!
Thanks again!!

I tried this and the words and image I used came out fuzzy. I rubbed the paper with a fabric sheet so the emobssing powder wouldn't stick everywhere else. Should I just put up with the extra powder or is there another secret to a crisp image

Does that work for embossing lighter colored ink on dark paper?!?
i.e. yo yo yellow + versamark on night of navy?
