clean a versamark?

My versamark got black ink on it now when I use it on lighter colors you can tell. Is there a way to clean it out and reink it or do I just have to get a new one?

Try either absorbing the black ink out with paper towelling, or you can resort to washing the whole pad with water? Then, reink.

The black ink may leave a permanent "stain" on the sponge itself, but hopefully, you won't have any more residue issues?

On that note, I had some stampers get silver EP into my Versamark.

I think I may end up doing the above to get that stuff out, as tape only removed so much . . . sigh . . .

you can also scrape the edge o a credit card (or something of the consistency) on the top of the VM pad, then re-ink. Go gently

Does that work for getting EP out, Britta? Or, just the bad ink?

hmmmmmmm never tried it on ep
I keep my ep in a gladware container so it is *mostly* contained and I haven't had too many "incidents" with it.
I guess it is worth a shot-it might help scrape it a bit.

I have a friend (demo) who has a grey glittery pad... and it works normally now even though there is still glitter in it.
