Default Clean -UP

hi

is there an easy way to clean up and delete favorites you have saved? I was looking thru mine and i have some that dates back to 2005. I tried deleting one at a time and that will take forever. If anyone knows i would certainly appreciate it.

thanks

Which browser are you using? I know IE and Chrome have bookmark managers that you can open up and organize. For most things you can just select the ones you want to delete by holding down the Ctrl button as you select each one you want to remove. If you have a bunch of links in a row just click the first one, then hold Shift and click the last one to select them all at once. This might make it a bit faster for you. HTH.

I tried to download my fav file a few months ago and it would not work..I am thinking because there are over 12000 cards in it it would maybe take too long...I would like to get rid of some too but just dont have the time to spend.
blessings.

I was so hoping someone had a great solution as my folder is getting bigger and bigger and when I've tried to delete one by one it's a big time sucker. I will try Katarina's suggestion and hope.... :-)

In the SCS fan club survey a couple of months ago, one of the questions was any suggestions for areas of improvement. I requested an easy way to manage your favorites folder. I rec'd a message from Lydia (UnderstandBlue) that this is one of the things they're working on. So hopefully something will be available soon!

I look forward to that. I would like to organize my into different folders, kind of like you can do on Flickr.

I tried this method, but the Favorites page has a "remove" button and by clicking on the picture only opens it up. I couldn't get it to work.

Did anyone have any luck with this method?

I just went to my favorites and clicked on remove. It removed that card and then came right back to favorites again so I could delete more if I want. Seems to work for me. You don't click on the picture, you click on the word "remove". HTH

That is the problem, you can only delete one at a time, i had 3500 cards and i had to delete the ones i didn't want 1 at a time.

Yes, I understand totally what you are saying. I was just replying to sf9erfan who asked about using the "remove" button. The remove button only lets you remove one at a time, but she said it wasn't working for her and I went in to see if it would for me. Just gave her a little more information on that particular button. Hope they come up with something for faster removal (before I have a ton!) soon.
